Managing DirectorMbonu Ifeanyi is a seasoned finance professional with over 12 years of diverse experience in investment banking, stockbroking, and asset management. He holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Lagos, a BSc in Mathematics and Economics, and a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Benin. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and an Authorized Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
Ifeanyi began his career at Compass Securities Limited where he was registered as a Dealing Clerk. During this period, he gained hands on experience in trade execution and market operations, laying a strong foundation for his career in the capital markets.
He later joined APT Securities and Funds Ltd where he was actively involved in risk control and securities trading. His time at APT enabled him to sharpen his analytical skills and deepen his understanding of trade surveillance, compliance, and operational efficiency in securities dealing. n/ Subsequently, he moved to Planet Capital Limited where he served as Chief Broker. In that role, he managed High Net Worth Individual (HNI) portfolios, executed large scale equity transactions, and supported several corporate listing activities on the Nigerian Exchange. His strategic involvement in these listings provided him with valuable insights into corporate finance and capital raising.
Ifeanyi later joined Nigerian International Securities Ltd where he played a pivotal role in managing relationships with Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs), institutional investors, and HNIs. He provided advisory support, trade execution services, and market intelligence tailored to institutional mandates. n/ He was subsequently appointed Head of Securities Trading at Imperial Asset Managers Limited where he led the equities trading desk. In this capacity, he managed a diverse range of client portfolios including those of HNIs, retail investors, and PFAs while overseeing day to day trading operations. Under his leadership, the firm was repositioned as one of the top performing stockbroking firms in Nigeria.
